Description

Look for a brown carsonite marker on the north side of Summit Gulch Road about 3/4 miles above the eastern end of ZL. Note that this trail marker designates the trail as #87; a bit confusing, but this marker does mark the start of the Bookcase Trail. Descend back to and across ZL to Galena Gulch Road. The grades aren't punishing, and ample switchbacks keep things exciting. Turn right and descend Galena Gulch Road to Summit Gulch Road.
