Description

Tunnel Ridge Road before the gate is a popular access road into the heart of the Red River Gorge. It provides vehicular access to two of the more popular areas: Grays Arch and Auxier Ridge.

At times, Tunnel Ridge Road is closed to vehicular traffic and it becomes a great easy gravel road ride. Typical closures are winter seasonal, when there are wildfires or storm damage, and during government shutdowns.

Even when its open to cars this is a nice ride, just be prepared to share it with a lot of fast moving yahoos on busy weekends.
