Description

This is currently a service road along the Mountain Parkway state designation KY 3026, aka Bowen Service Road. It has been identified in the Powell County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan as part of a future multiuse trail corridor and because it is a public right-of-way is legal to ride, run, and hike currently.

This segment of the future Red River Multiuse Trail begins on KY 613 at the Mountain Parkway and heads west to a terminus at a gate at Cane Creek. It is flat and has almost no traffic. Land owners use this road to access their farmland and to hunt and fish along Red River.

Please be aware that the property opposite the Mountain Parkway is all private and some is posted No Trespassing. Please respect private property.

Parking is limited at the eastern end within the public right of way. Please do not block road or utility equipment in the area.
