Description

One of the newer additions (9/2015) to the Hartman Rocks trail system, Graceland is best ridden in a clockwise direction, but flows well either way.

From its start across from Gateway, the trail descends slightly through tight sagebrush as it winds through and around massive rock formations. These are fun, semi-technical sections that you'll experience throughout this trail and the Hartman Rocks trail system.

After this initial descent, the trail heads directly east up a draw. This slight ascent becomes a little steeper once the trail heads north, switchbacking up the hill. Near the top, you'll pass High Five, which would be a fast, fun descent from here. But, because you're smart and fit, you're going to stay left and continue ascending.

Once at the trail's high point, after passing Cat's Castle, the trail descends on super-fun, very flowing trail. You can tell this is a new trail as the berms haven't set, but it'll only get better with time!

From the bottom of the trail, you'll head south, climbing a scenic sagebrush-filled wash. Continue past High Five (unless you want to loop this again...) and you'll climb all the way to the end of Water Treatment. This last section of trail is very scenic, especially in late-May when the wildflowers are popping!
