Description

Head in from the southwest corner of the picnic area parking lot and this trail starts out fairly easy, along the flat, doubletrack-width section next to the stream, that can be wet. Then the climbing starts... and the rocks and roots, before breaking out into the pasture. But the climbing continues, with some relief here and there.

When you finally reach the top, after just over a mile from the start, cut to the left and then right through the tree line. Now comes the rocky downhill with lots of roots and some endo-inducing root stairs.

After all of this, there are some flowing sections with roots and a couple stream crossings. When you reach the yellow-blazed, Rock Run trail, turn right and take a break in the clearing next to the stream.
