Overview
The new fun, fast, and flowy 16-mile Ridgeline Rampage singletrack course. The new course starts from the Phillip S. Miller Park, crosses the new Wolfensberger Rd bridge, and follows the outside of the
Ridgeline Open Space trail system clockwise ending back at the bridge and in Phillip S. Miller Park.
Need to Know
The race course areas near the Wolfensberger bridge crossing and start/finish areas are still to be finalized as the Town of Castle Rock completes construction in these areas. They will be finalized prior to the race on April 30th.
Description
This newly designed, lengthened and demanding 16-mile loop runs clockwise this year with ~1,700′ of elevation gain per lap. The 4′-wide trail offers ample passing opportunities. Linking together the new Phillip S. Miller Trails and the existing
Ridgeline Open Space Trail System, this spectacular course offers panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains to the west and the town of Castle Rock below to the east. Fast hills, green oak and pinyon pine provide a beautiful and exciting landscape to race through.
Endurance competitors will complete three loops, XC competitors race two, Appetizer one. 3-person Relay team racers ride one loop each. Juniors ride approximately 5-16 miles depending on age. Racers leave the start at Phillip S. Miller and proceed over the new pedestrian bridge crossing Wolfsenberger Rd to the existing
Ridgeline Open Space Course, then back again to the new Phillip S. Miller Park trails.
