Description

As this trail leaves the CT trailhead heading south from CR 365 it is unsuspectingly easy for the first 1/8 mile, then the trail becomes steeper and steeper, never relenting for the next 2 1/2 miles. Even if the grade was rideable the surface is loose, small decomposing granite rocks that slip and slide under your wheel, we mainly pushed our bikes with small segment of riding. The last 1/2 mile before the Wilderness area is very nice as is skirts a small pond, crosses a creek and enters a dense barely summer forest. Coming down was fun, mostly... I did a lot better on the skidding surface once I let air out of my tires.
