Laurel Creek Trail follows the park boundary along Country Club Road and is easy to moderate difficulty with changing scenery.

You can get to the trail on your bike from the circle parking lot near the visitor center and next to the lake. (To get to the circle parking lot, just come in from the main entrance and follow the main road past the visitor center. It's on the left.)

At the top of the circle on the left side of circle is a gravel trail. Follow this trail past a pavilion on the right. It will end at a paved road. Go hard right uphill. Near the top of the hill, the road turns sharp left. Up ahead is a parking lot to the left. Go to the parking lot. Continue straight through the parking lot and follow a sign for group camping grounds.

As you enter the area, you'll see a sign for Laurel Creek Trail with a red triangle on it on the right. Turn and pass the sign. In a second, there will be another sign for the trail and a small pond. This is the start and end of Laurel Creek Trail. If you want to go clockwise (the way the MTB Project map shows) go past the sign and to the other side of the pond. To the right, following the pond, is the start. Counter-clockwise, turn right at the sign on the near side of the pond.

I don't think there is a best way to run it. I had fun going counter-clockwise, but I can see advantages going clockwise.

This trail is has a ton of roots, an amount of rocks, and some awesome singletrack. Moderate up, down, and straight. Pine forest, swamp area and creeks, and regular forest. Some pretty cool wood bridge stuff.

OTHER TRAILS: (counter-clockwise)
The ending of Deer Trail is on the right.

The Railroad Grade Trail joins on from the left for a little ways before breaking off to the left.

Soon after that is the beginning of the Weaver Way Trail to the left. It will end 1.5 miles later on the Laurel Creek Trail, from the left.

Soon after that, the Railroad Grade Trail will cross twice.

This is one of the best singletracks in the park. Have fun!
