Overview
Le Tour de Beaver is a meandering technical course through the hemlock, rhododendron and hardwood forest of Little Beaver State Park in Beaver, West Virginia. The terrain features rolling hills, short steep climbs and descents, and frequent, challenging rock gardens. This ride is ideally suited for the rider who likes demanding cross country routes with some fun downhills thrown in for good measure.
Need to Know
While the park is not very large, there are a lot of trails thrown into a small area. It is wise to show up with your maps downloaded to your phone and/or pick up a trail map from the visitor center by the lake, or the camper check-in at the entrance to the campground. There are lots of trail mergers and it can be easy to get turned around without a navigation reference.
Description
Begin the ride from the lot just past the visitor center/ park store by heading away from the lake and up the gravel path at the end of the lot. At the end of the path you'll come to the paved road. Make a left heading downhill about 20 yards toward the first

Careful here because there are two trailheads for RR Grade. As you are riding up you'll occasionally see Laurel Creek on your left. This first mile gives you a good taste of what some of the more challenging sections will be like throughout the ride, hitting you quick with some demanding rock gardens.
After a mile you'll come to a T merger with Laurel Creek trail. Turn left, heading over the wooden bridge. Head up the small hill where you'll follow signs for
