This trail is a fun high-speed bermy descent with a handful of small jumps and features that are great for intermediates or experts looking to spruce up the end of their Horseshoe or G8 loops on the way back to the Cougar Creek parking lot. the description provided is as if the rider was returning from the standard G8/Horseshoe loop, riding east to west back to the parking lot.

After crossing the 30-metre wooden boardwalk and the following shallow ravine on the other side, the trail braids into a very rooty descent back to the parking area. Stop and look for another rooty trail leading off to the left uphill.

Follow this uphill - you'll know if you're on track when you pass a handmade wood sign with a picture of a dog that says "LeBen" on it - this will be within 100 metres.

You'll pass a couple of balancy features - then the fun begins as the trail turns downhill and gets bermy. There are no defined offshoot trails so just rip and have fun! There are some small drops and obvious wood ramp launches, but all are small and there are no surprises.

Eventually, the trail reaches the bottom and an easily missed trail junction - when you have to start pedaling for 15 metres while the trail veers left, you're probably there and should start looking for an offshoot to the right and downhill into difficult-to-see terrain. Follow this turn, then up some loose gravelly trail and take the left sidehill-hugging trail.

From here on, there are a lot of criss-crossing trails. Any dropping away to the left will quickly take you to the homes a few hundred metres away from the trail, if you take off to the right you may be on a hard uphill climb back up to the Horseshoe - but you may not enjoy them as some are extremely challenging or only used by horses. If you are continuing to follow the contour with a slightly uphill trend, you're on course. There are a couple of areas where the trails are heavily braided, but choose one and remember these instructions and you should come out OK.

Eventually, you'll come out onto an open side slope that leads to a flat area in the woods that overlooks a neighborhood. Look for a left downhill trail that seems to lead to back yards - follow this to a cul-de-sac of houses and take the road out and down to Cougar Creek - you'll see it on the right at the T junction. Turn right and 100m away you'll arrive at the Cougar Creek parking lot.
