Overview

This trail offers something for everyone. I really believe this is one of the best places to start learning to ride. It offers many different levels of challenges to build your confidence. You would never expect such nice singletrack in the center of a dense urban area. Its biggest drawback is its lack of any significant climbing.

Need to Know

The bathroom and changing facilitates are poorly maintained by the city. You should be prepared to change clothes in your car.

Description

The trailhead is in the back of the park. Follow the paved road and after you make a 90 degree right turn the trailhead is on your left. We try to keep the trail well marked but the vandals seem to always stay one step ahead of us. Just follow the path and you should be fine.

Start by riding The Bunny Loop followed by Unidentified Flying Object - both easy, fast trails. From UFO, stay right to drop into Half Pipe, a fun gully with banked turns. With a smile on your face, get ready for The Rock Garden which is a technical, but short, section of trail. The Rock Garden leads into The Ridge and Lakeside which offer sweeping turns down to the lake.

Take a Deep Breath and tackle Heart Burn, the biggest climb in the park. The ups and downs on The Roller Coaster will have you grinning as you catch your breath. Stay loose as you come to The Rock Face and decide whether or not to roll the near vertical rock feature.

Assuming you make it, turn on the after-burners on Wide Open and let it rip. Next, find some peace on Inner Zen Loop and Outer Zen Loop. To wrap it all up, climb back to the trailhead on Conjunction Junction and think about another lap!

History & Background

This trail was originally built by the Columbus Cycling Club back in 2005.

Ok trail but poorly marked. Navigation nightmare even with MTB Project! Not real technical except black trails. Lots of roots! Pretty much worn out.

Didn't finish the entire course. I was winded by the time I hit lakeside plus it was getting late(excuses). Definitely hitting it again soon! 5.2mi — 2h 00m
