Description

This trail begins at the Old Mill Site at the intersection of Border Line Trail and Old Mill Trail, which is a hikers only trail. There is a very short climb, and it is literally all downhill from there. At about three miles in, some rocks and obstacles present themselves, but nothing too advanced. There are a few very small creek crossings along the way as well. Once out of the woods, at about mile 3.5, the trail opens up into a sprawling meadow as it makes its way back to the Parking Area #1 and the intersection of the Staunton Ranch Trail.

Wide trails make for easy climbing and passing. Tons of flowers out in the meadows.

Most of the technical aspects of Mason Creek Trail are a few stream crossings. Easily doable for intermediate riders.

Rode this as mapped and it is much easier than the other way. One section is difficult going down, brutal going up--you'll know it when you see it. 4.3mi — 0h 35m

Trails today - Dines Meadow - Staunton Ranch - Border Line - Mason Creek. Great weather and trails. Blue is correct due to vertical grind. 11mi — 2h 30m
