Description

Golden Gate is a rocky, sometimes rutted out trail. It generally trends downhill, when ridden from north to south, and winds its way around Golden Gate Mountain. There are many step downs along the trail, and sometimes multiple steps in a row.

The upper portion is in rough shape needs some reconstruction. The lower is in decent shape with all/most of the features rollable and fun.

Rode lower half only. Fun to ride from North to south so you go down most of the rocky steps. Only technical trail in area.

Everything still rollable after some heavy rain. Rating seems a bit "modest." Upper section super fun. Will skip lower section next time.

This is great fun when begun at the G5 parking pullout. Cross the road, do the trail, and come back to where you started using Ironwood Trail. 1.5mi — 0h 30m
