Description

Road 550 is a well-maintained dirt road open to motorized traffic. It goes by the Little Scraggy Trailhead, Shingle Mill Trailhead, the Buffalo camping area, and the southwest Buffalo Creek trailhead. It intersects Colorado Trail: Little Scraggy to Wellington Lake Road, Shingle Mill Trail, Tramway Trail 723, Road 543, and Redskin Creek Trail .

As it runs parallel to the Colorado Trail: Little Scraggy to Wellington Lake Road and is open to traffic, there is little reason to ride on it, barring bad weather, injury, or equipment failure.

Beautiful and easy to extend dirt road ride to infinity, just take left or right fork at mile 5.5. Good warm up. 9mi
