Also, this trail is primarily in low-land and many years suffers from chronic wetness. Please stay off during most of the spring and early summer. Usually dries out nicely after extended periods of very dry weather (i.e. 4+ weeks with very little or no rain or snow melt).

Description

Trail leaves the "Main Loop" at an intersection on the rider's left hand side (watch for the yellow signs).

You'll initially head west in a short straight shot before a hairpin right-hander. Be ready on this tight turn. There is a technical rock step-up immediately after it. The tight trail then heads east where the rider eventually encounters a long section of embedded cobble-sized rocks (essentially a dried creek-bed) with some tight turns. After the rockiest sections are cleared, the rider will enter a maze of endless tight switchbacks among the tree trunks. You may be thinking of shaving your handlebars back down to 1990's widths. Plenty of log-overs, hairpins, and double-hairpins requiring low-speed bike handling skills.

This trail exits back onto the main loop a short distance down-trail from where it entered.
