Overview

Great route going around the Chain of Lakes in a clockwise direction.

Description

This is a complete clockwise loop around the lakes. Riders start by crossing the dirt road by the parking lot, trail entrance is on the other side of the road. There is a trail connector across the road from the south side of the parking lot as well.

Riders will start on the Huck Harbor loop, which contains some fun jumps and large scale constructed trail features (look before you leap on Huck Harbor!).

After riding in this area, keep an eye out for connector trails along the lake that will take you north (routes indicating trailhead will simply take you back to the lot), eventually riding up near the overlook (a short two-way section).

Riders will continue along a repurposed older trail section (Bark Buster), eventually connecting to some newer trail construction that is fairly tight and punchy along the north side of the lakes. Along this route you'll find the Gravity Cavity feature.

In the NE corner, you'll cross the bridge across the creek, and continue heading along the creek for a while on some pretty tight and twisty trails, eventually turning south and connecting to some older, more open trails. These will eventually lead you into the Lochness trail where there are a few notable constructed trail features to ride, with the trail section ending with a nice high speed hip jump.

After the shared two-way hiking trail, it is a gentle climb on some easier trail back to the parking lot. Of the two choices of routes around the lakes, this is the shorter mileage route, but does contain more notable constructed trail features. Construction was completed early 2021 on the last trail segment to fully connect this route.
