The first of 4 new trails added to Poinsett, the Splice was a needed through trail from neighboring Manchester State Forest to access Campbell's Pond trail to the north of Poinsett and to take bike traffic off of Park Road. The trail undulates gently through the western and mid sections but has some short steep climbs on the eastern end. Used to access Whippoorwill Trail, Laurel Trail and the Knot Trails. Parallels most of the road inside the park.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
