Access and lift pass through Spirit Mountain office.

***Caution: when chair lifts are NOT running this is a two-way trail. When lifts ARE running it's downhill-only!"

Description

This is a relatively easy, rolling length of singletrack geared toward beginners but fun for intermediate riders as well.

Coming off the lift turn right to cruise down the doubletrack on the ski run, and take the first right between the trees.Watch out on your right (uphill) in the trees for riders dropping out of the trail there.

From the exit gate of the Adventure Park lot, cross Skyline Parkway (paved road) and enter the singletrack on relatively flat terrain. At this point, you're passing through Spirit Mountain's camping area (hence the name "Happy Camper"). Note the trailside campsites!
Watch the signs, since there are several black diamond detours in this section.

After passing the campground, cross Skyline Parkway again, and start getting into the downhill section. There are no difficult features (no jumps, gaps, drops, etc.) on this run. It essentially descends the hill in a long series of bermed switchbacks and small rollers.

NOTE: This run provides access to some very difficult trails & jump areas (Wild Cat and Boss Hog). Watch the signs to stay on Happy Camper.

The run really ends when it intersects with the long, straight doubletrack that makes a bee-line for the lift ( DWP rail grade). Turn left to head back to the bottom of the lift, and make sure to take a spin through the jump/skills park after crossing the ski run!
