DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Mine Mountain starts and ends off of Fawn Lake Road in the north and south. It is a decent climb followed by a great, high speed descent in both directions. Speeds can exceed over 30 mph on the downhill sections. It connects to Fawn Lake Road, Laurel Ridge, Cart, and Scarlet Oak. This is one of the best trails of the DuPont system.
