A fun two-way well maintained singletrack with several switchbacks through classic Southern California Coastal Sage Scrub.

From the west, Ticketron splits from No Name Ridge, descending through classic California coastal sage scrub down some tight, steep switchbacks. This section is typically ridden as a fun downhill but also can be ridden as a challenging 1.1 mile climb. As a climb, these switchbacks are a real challenge to conquer while staying in the saddle.

From the east, Ticketron starts from Red Tail Ridge and plunges as wide, rocky doubletrack down several steep sandstone rock falls to the Deer Canyon Campground. The rock is solid veins with eroded shapes in them. Good riders with health insurance can navigate them, but the older and wiser may want to dismount and hike-a-bike. In reverse, this trail is a steep climb and the eroded sandstone rock forms are nearly impossible to climb in the saddle, unless your name is Superman. (The California State Park map shows this section as Deer Canyon, but I figured keep it simple.)

The middle section is easy rolling fun singletrack with some great views following the Deer Canyon Creek bed.
