Description

NF-025 is a national forest road dirt doubletrack that is on the right side of the road, 2 miles up Cub Creek Road from West Chewuck Road about 6 miles from Winthrop.

NF-025 is most often used as the return route to Cub Creek road from Buck Mountain Trail.

There is a wide shoulder on Cub Creek near this intersection that can be used for parking and is oftentimes the start/stop location of the Buck Mountain Trail. Continuing up Cub Creek Road another 3 miles past NF-025 (staying to the right on NF-100), the main entrance to the Buck Mountain Trail can be found at the "Deer Country" interpretive sign.
