Description

Its the reason you traveled this far. The namesake of the full Angels Staircase Loop, it all comes down to these 2 miles. Traveling clockwise (suggested), you begin with a hike-a-bike climb up to an 8,000ft ridgeline, that gives you unbelievable vista views. Then you are rewarded by a dozen or two switchbacks as you descend 1,000ft.
