Description

This is the first trail you'll meet if you take a right off the paved trail from Smoke and Davey parking lot. This trail will gracefully lead you through hardwood forest westward, towards the lake with a few beginner challenges. This trail is indicated blue on the map but is really mostly green with a few small challenges like a walkway, dirt rollers with vertical armoring, and a few small rocks and roots. It runs parallel to the lake and stacked above Neale's Trail, giving beginners a lake front trail except for in the summer when overgrown vegetation makes lake views harder to come by. One of the great things about this trail is that it leads beginners to our longest solid green trail, Mitchell's Mile.
