Description

Start with moderate climbing on loose golf ball rocks until leveling off on the mesa below Steamboat Rock. From here on the trail is much faster and very easy.

Scenery is excellent except for some power lines.

The south end of the trail. Big parking lot here. Highly recommend this be the starting point.

Out and back on the Western two thirds. Magnificent views and few people. Rocky rather than muddy, with a 9% grade at the West end which is a blast. 4mi
