This intermediate (+) singletrack weaves sinuously through rocky, undulating terrain just below Mount Herman Road. Created in approximately 2011, this trail can be fairly challenging due to numerous stretches of rock garden - some 50m or longer and highly twisting and undulating terrain. In between rock gardens, the singletrack is fast with tight turns and the periodic obstacles that require absolute attention. Although the elevation profile looks fairly tame, the trail actually cuts across the lower slopes of Mount Herman; therefore, the trail continually drops in and out of draws and drainage from the mountain above.

The area is mostly covered with scrub-oak, skeletal trees from an ancient wild fire. Views into the valley and upwards towards Mount Herman are great, provided you have the opportunity to take your eyes off the the trail.

Approximately 250m from the south end of this trail, the trail splits. The east split follows a ridgeline and descends through some fairly technical terrain. The main trail continues southward until it intersects with Trail 715 for a nice, fast descent back to Schilling Rd or a fairly laborious climb westward towards Mount Herman Rd.
