Description

A straight and short rail trail. It was established in 2009 as a rail trail on a short part of the former line between Westerly, RI and the Thames River in Groton. It was in use by the Groton & Stonington Railway Company using electric trolleys from 1904 to 1928. At its middle there is a bridge over the Amtrak railroad tracks.
