Description
A nice little trail with a lot of flow - a good way to add some mileage to a ride. No big cardio sections and not very technical, though there is a rooty section near the end as the trail joins the road that requires your full attention. These roots are off-camber so you need to keep your momentum up to roll them, but the road is right on the other side so be sure you don't continue to roll right onto the road! Granted, it's a very lightly traveled road but don't take any chances!
Queen Anne is a mellow trail that provides access to
Skullcap, and can be used as a warm-up for the more technical trails on the Gap Mountain side of Pandapas Pond. Queen Anne begins with a climb from either direction, making it suitable both ways. Riding it clockwise, you'll experience a technical climb from the start and a fast root-littered downhill to finish. Riding it counterclockwise, you'll experience a shorter, steeper climb from the start, and a twisty downhill at the end with two awkward root moves before the road.
