Description

The Lewis and Clark Trail travels through the Discovery Hill area and is good dirt singletrack across the rolling open sage Beaverhead foothills.

The higher points along this trail offer views of the three surrounding mountain ranges; the Salmon River Range across the Salmon River to the west, the Lemhi Range and prominent Sal Mountain to the south, and the mighty Beaverheads to the north and east.

The northern section of trail contours in and out of gullies and offers many twists and turns and ups and downs.

The southern portion travels near the MX park and is two track. It then enters a shallow canyon as singletrack as it heads north to the central junction of the Disco Trail System.

This trail is part of three loops in the trail system; Owl Canyon and Enduro Loop run on the southern portion, while Slump Gulch rolls on the northern.
