Description

This is a multi-use trail and gets a decent amount of foot traffic. Runners should run in the opposite direction of the cyclists (counterclockwise) for safety reasons but here most runners seem to run the the same direction as the bikes, so be careful. Speeds here can be 10mph+ on average.

The trail starts near the pump track and leads to the biggest hit of the run. It is rooty and relatively flat, with only one decent climb (Death Hill). You wont find many jumps or man-made features here- it's more suited for the beginner or cross country rider. The trail is only 3 miles in length, so getting a few laps in is usually in order.

The trail dries much faster than other trails in the area. When Charlotte gets a significant amount of rain, North Meck usually opens earlier than other trails in the area are able to.

The pump track was recently rebuilt, and when dry, is a blast for kids and adults alike!
