A relatively flat trail with no obstacles. The optional Bald Eagle Loop is very rooty.

Overview

Closed after hard rains.

Need to Know

Safe to park near marina and ride from there.

Description

This trail features nice views along the lake. It travels through a heavily wooded forest and is generally well-maintained. Use caution at all road crossings.

This is a nice lunchtime ride from the marina. Just after crossing Lewiston Rd., Look for the Bald Eagle Loop to branch off to the right. This is an optional loop to add some mileage and fun to your ride. The trail continues a short distance past the second junction with Bald Eagle Loop and dens at a dirt road.

This was a trail I had not rode in Greensboro. I enjoyed the topography and the scenery, but did not enjoy the rootyness of the trail. Sep 5, 2014

I rode the entire trail as an out-and-back a few days ago and it measured at 9.64 miles on my computer. Oct 29, 2014
