Restrooms at Crabtree Trailhead.

Description

Crabtree Meadow Trailhead had plenty of parking and restrooms, but no water. However the trail crosses a stream about 200 feet from the trailhead. It is a fairly popular trail for day riding, backpacking, and fishing.

About 2.5 miles from the trailhead, the trail passes Camp Lake which is good for swimming. Shortly after Lillypad Lake about 5.5 miles from the trailhead, the trail goes over a ridge with great views of the surrounding mountains.

Gem Lake has many campsites all around the lake with the nicest at the south side. Buck Lakes are very pretty with great surrounding views. The lakes have nice campsites and are also fun to swim or float in since they were dotted with so many little rock islands.
