Montana Tech Open Space Park is a non-motorized multi-use trail system. There are two main Parking Areas, one at the top (North) of the park on Orofino Gulch Rd, and one at the Bottom (South) of the park at the end of W Park St. There are no facilities such as bathrooms or water available at the Park.

Most of this trail was made during the summer of 2024 and it was a great addition to the Park because it enabled many more loop possibilities without having to exit out onto Orofino Gulch Rd. The Trail starts close to the Upper Parking lot, and is an easy and fast cruise across shrubby grassland. About 75% along, the trail goes up a little and around a corner, you come to a junction with what used to be old doubletrack that is quickly turning into singletrack. The trail continues straight on one of these old doubletracks and joins up with Whisky Gulch West.
