Description

Starting from the parking lot and heading clockwise on Serpentine Spring Trail. Short sections of steep climbs. Smooth new trail with a lot of loose dirt make it challenging with rear wheel slip. Casual climb the last ~1/4mile before the Tule Elk Trail junction.

Tule Elk Trail runs parallel to 101 with an awesome view. Wide smooth flat fire road where the fun starts. Fun smooth downhill before hitting Bay Checkerspot Trail junction.

Bay Checkerspot Trail is a wide downhill trail for about 1mi. Then splits to singletrack with switchbacks. At the end is a wide gravel road heading back to the parking lot.

Extreme climbs. Black diamond level inclines 15-20%. With loose gravel. Too difficult for most even with e-bikes. Dangerous switchbacks — 12h 30m

First mile is straight up. I hiked the bike. Need a butterfly pass. Free and can get in plot via email. Required spray tires and shoes at gate.
