Recommended as an unpaved uphill. It's also a nice intermediate downhill.

I took this trail, a continuation of the Ardosetta Doubletrack (Part of Sentiero #105), as an ascent to the top of Monte Grappa.

The trail starts at Agriturismo Al Covolo (elev. 630m), the upper end of the paved road "Via Madonnadel Covolo" and continues this road. It's marked as #105 to Rifugio Ardosetta.

Keep left twice on the doubletrack, which is easy to drive on. Immediately after the second turnoff (elevation 800 m), the trail becomes narrower and rockier. The old mule track is not too difficult, as it was laid out in an even gradient and the switchbacks were intended for carts.

All in all, however, you need stamina to cope with the more than 600 meters of altitude on stony ground with countless switchbacks.

Leaving the steep slopes of Valle della Madonna and reaching the meadows of Malga Ardosetta, the trail turns into a doubletrack. The mountain hut, Rifugio Ardosetta (1,451 m), is on the left, just before the trail ends at a paved public road.
