Mostly Dry - The occasional tiny puddle exists, but the trail is dry and perfect otherwise. Ride it on 28c slicks without any issue. History

An all-weather doubletrack connecting towns of Superior, Louisville, Lafayette and Erie.

Mike Van Abel

Overview

Open dawn to sundown. Non-motorized travel.
Features: -none-
Dogs: Leashed

Description

This all-weather surface doubletrack follows the coal creek and connects the towns of Superior (and Dirty Bismarck ride) to the town of Louisville and Lafayette and Erie to the east. It's also a key segment of the Rock Creek Farm loop ride. Continuing northeast the trail connects to Erie Forest trails.

This trail was heavily damaged in the 500 year flood in Sept., 2013. Most of the trail has been repaired. Also note that due to construction of Hwy 36, the "Boulder-Denver Turnpike" the trails underpass there is closed (as of fall of 2014). Best way to connect west to the Dirty Bismarck is via the pedestrian overpass at McCaslin Blvd.
