Park across the highway then start the trail to the right of the parking lot. You'll have a steady climb with some switchbacks and a brief rock garden before a steady descent. The trail is one-way and has lots of hikers.

Parking is limited at the trailhead but there is plenty of parking across the freeway to the south. The trail is currently one-way, counter clockwise. I recommend using a bell to alert hikers.

Small parking lot is always full so we park across the freeway to the south. There are restrooms at the trailhead.

The trail starts as a dirt road before becoming a singletrack. Pay attention to the signs to stay on track. There are great viewpoints along the way to stop and catch your breath on the incline.

The switchbacks are sharp and the trail continues on a steep slope so pay attention. I walked my bike through the rock garden about halfway through the trip.
