Description

So this could be a nice forest road to ride. It is closed to traffic and still seems to be maintained by the Forest Service, but unfortunately it doesn't lead anywhere. It starts at Nimblewill Road (FS 28-2) and climbs gently up 500 ft into a quieter section of the Chattahoochee National Forest before following the contours off to a dead end in the middle of the forest.

Older maps show FS 357A intersecting at the top of the climb at about the 1.8-mi mark, forming a nice loop with Amicalola Creek Road (FS 46) and Nimblewill Road (FS 28-2). The roadbed for FS 357A still exists (roadbeds are hard to destroy) but this road clearly does not get any maintenance: you'll encounter massive downed trees across it as well as young trees growing in the middle of it.

The southern end, near where it would join High Shoals Road is too rutted out to ride at all.
