Need to Know
Make sure you park in free parking and not in restricted spots. Be prepared to be demoralizingly passed by e-bike users wearing jeans and not sweating while you haul your 35lb enduro rig up. Don't worry, it's worth it.
Description
Park in Lermoos (free parking can be found in multiple places, just follow the blue "P" signs). Ride along Inssbrucker Strasse to Bachtelweg (street name) and along it to Grubigstein (also a street name). Follow signs for the Grubigalm. Up to the first lift station the road is paved, from there to the Grubigalm it is wide doubletrack gravel. Gradient is good for grinding all the way up and there are only a few steep-ish pitches. This track ends at the Grubigalm station, however you can keep following the track all the way to the Grubistein Gipfel (the peak) and ride the MTB specific trails down (not shown on MTB project but signage is good on the mountain).
This ascent is marked to take you to the Blindseetrail access (must-do).
