Diamondback is a one-way trail (ridden counterclockwise) for mountain bikers. There is also a wet weather closure program in place at Rattlesnake Ridge.

Need to Know

There are no trash cans or bathrooms on site. Please pack out what you pack in. The closest amenities are about 1 mile away at Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

Description

Diamondback links Tarantula Hawk on Blue Mountain to Pirate Perch on the South Lake Trail System, and on to Mountain Boomer and Cliffbrake on Rattlesnake Ridge. The intersection with Pirate Perch is the high point, and from here, the trail flows mostly downhill in either direction through rock gardens and open forests.
