Description

Skywalker trail, and the Carol Canyon area in general are a great place to go when conditions are wet. These trails are south facing and drain well. But on a warm day expect to sweat and bring extra water!
Skywalker trail can be ridden in either direction. Although most commonly it is ridden as part of a counterclockwise loop. Starting on Old Post, continuing down Skywalker to Herkenham, and returning on either Ridge or Carol Canyon trails.

Skywalker trail itself has several steep climbs. Topping out at nearly 4,600 feet at the high point and offers great views and is an excellent place to stop for a snack. Keep an eye peeled for the hidden bench just off trail!
There are a number of fast flowy sections of trail on Skywalker. But be aware, there are lots of loose tight corners as well.
