Description

Fadweg is a quiet forest road through the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). It climbs towards the Bernstein peak (694 m; 2,277 ft), parts of the climb being at a pretty good grade that will get your attention. You'll have to continue on Iltishaldenweg -> Breite Straße -> Bernsteinfels to get to the peak, but there is a decent overlook towards the Rhein River Valley (and the border with France) to the east from Fadweg just before you merge onto Iltishaldenweg.
