Overview

This is another epic ride in the Costa Blanca area. The returning route of the loop encounters to two big rock formations of the Diània area: the Puig Campana and the Ponotx.

Need to Know

Parking free in the Font del Molí (Finestrat).

Description

The name of this featured ride indicates the two geologic formations easily connected on the same tour. It makes a figure-eight loop almost to perfection, which creates a fully satisfying ride with a little bit of everything for all adventure riders.

Along the way, you'll explore different types of areas making for a nice distraction on the hard climbs and a beautiful backdrop during the steep descents. Both the uphill and downhill sections are spectacular.

The first, "La Canal," descends under the walls of the colossal Ponotx, across the forest with incredible switchbacks. The last one is very technical, with rock gardens and switchbacks snaking through the limestone kingdom.

Undoubtedly, this route constitutes a "must do" in the Diània area and great Costa Blanca region.

History & Background

Along the tour, you'll find old recovered paths, shepherds' refuges, historical foothills, and some notable examples of popular architecture.
