Overview

Xort is a magnificent example of the Mediterranean landscape. This ride combines a hard climb across a solitary and spectacular landscape, ending on a long and technical downhill with the Mediterranean Sea as the backdrop.

Need to Know

Rocky terrain throughout the ride.

Description

This is a hard ride with a few hike-a-bike sections (350 m). However, it's all worth it once you arrive at the summit of Xort Mountain. The 360-degree views of the Costa Blanca Mountains are stunning.

After soaking up the views, you'll continue downhill to Barranc Negre which features many technical spots and more great vantage points of the coast.

History & Background

This area has an incredible historical legacy, with century-old examples of Islamic culture. Look for old houses and castles.

The ride also visits the spectacular rocky arch of Atanos and climbs to Penya Alta, with wonderful views across the famous Guadalest Valley and the coast of Benidorm. This is a ride you have to do at least once in your life.
