Description
This is a connector road used throughout the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. It may be used for access between the
Lindsay Ranch Loop and the
Walnut Creek Loop on the north side of the Refuge. It climbs almost undetectably from east to west up to the Ranch Loop. It also forms the northern portion of the
Woman Creek Loop with a slightly steeper climb alongside South Woman Creek.
This climb also makes a pleasant descent although the descent on the south side of
Woman Creek Loop is better. The middle portion between
Lindsay Ranch Loop and
Woman Creek Loop is flat and straight except for two short and steep whoopdees.
Eventually, this trail is planned to connect the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge with Rocky Mountain National Park. Currently, the Rocky Flats portion runs between the northeast corner of the
Walnut Creek Loop and the
Walnut Creek Loop at Highway 128. An overpass is planned on Indiana Street and an underpass at Highway 128. More info at
