Description

A pure fire road drop or climb, it is at least generally reasonably cool for having an eastern exposure and the lower half being in forest. That half is a bit Mirkwood for being all eucalyptus with its lack of understory to a lack of native plants evolved to live with these exotics, including the smothering litter dropped by eucalyptus trees.

This route became legal for bikes on 16 June 2018. It is part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail located on East Bay Municipal Utility District land. If you find this route useful, consider joining the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council and/or the Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay as they led the effort to have this trail opened for mountain biking.
