Description

This forest road runs across the Cherokee National Forest above the Cohutta Wilderness. It connects a number of trail systems: Tanasi, Iron Mountain Trail (#77), and the Bear Creek megaplex, or it can make for a giant gravel grinder loop around the Wilderness.

West of Tanasi, it's a high quality gravel road. It gets a little more rustic to the east switching to a true dirt road with some large rocks embedded in the roadbed and the occasional rutted area.
