This short one mile trail wraps around the parking lot so you’re never far from your car, which is great if the kids want to head in early.
Description
This is a one mile long novice trail that wraps around the parking lot. Cottontail Trail starts at the parking lot with Cellen Creek Loop. Stay to the right at the first intersection. The trail heads south for 0.1 mile where you come to another intersection where Meadow View starts. Stay to the right here also.
The trail soon goes past a small sinkhole and then skirts the south side of the parking area. You then turn north and dive into the woods winding back-and-forth underneath varying heights of canopy. In some places it’s only a foot above your head. The trail ends when it opens up out of the trees right near the park entrance and connects with Cellon Creek Loop.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
