Open 24x7 year around, but Dowdy Ranch visitors center is only open summer weekends from approximately mid-May until early September. Otherwise must park at Bell Station lot off of highway 152, and bike 7 miles uphill to Dowdy visitors center to reach the park. NOTE: Bicycles and other mechanisms are not allowed in the Orestimba Wilderness by state law, so while this road is fully hikeable, some portions are in the Wilderness and you must leave your bike and walk after you reach the wildernes
