DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close during extended periods of freeze/thaw in the winter.
Lake Julia Road starts from Conservation Road
and ends at the intersection with Lake View Loop
and the end of Reasonover Creek
. At the 0.3 mile mark the trail connects with Camp Summit Road
, which can be used as an easier alternative to the Conservation Road
climb up to Airstrip Trail
