Trail shared by Preston Jordan

As one of the few dirt routes on the west face of the Berkeley Hills, this trail is surprisingly tranquil.

Description

This is one of the few legal dirt routes on the western face of the Berkeley Hills. It is a surprisingly tranquil roll through a eucalyptus forest with a steep section in the middle that is deeply rutted. This is part of a route that allows catching some dirt connecting between Sibley or Redwood Parks and southeast Berkeley/north Oakland instead of wasting the elevation on Tunnel Road.
